Controls and Operation

The AccuSeal™ features an intuitive control system that allows for optimal settings tailored to different types of plates and sealing materials. Users can easily switch between sealing time and sealing temperature using the MODE button and adjust settings with the convenient turn knob. Temperature is precisely adjustable in 1.0°C increments, while sealing time can be set in increments of 0.1 seconds. The sealing process is straightforward: simply place a microplate in the open drawer, lay a heat seal on top, and press the SEAL button. The motorized drawer will close automatically, ensuring a firm press for the set time, before revealing the sealed plate.

Versatility and Convenience

This semi-automated plate sealer can accommodate various plate types and heights, thanks to an aluminum adapter for PCR and standard assay plates. The motorized heated platen adjusts automatically for different plate heights, applying uniform pressure to guarantee a high-quality seal. With a special non-stick coating, maintenance is easy; an access door allows for quick cleaning when necessary.

Safety Features

Designed with user safety as a priority, the AccuSeal™ incorporates internal heating elements securely housed within the instrument casing. An internal safety door prevents access to heated areas. Additionally, the motorized drawer includes redundant safety switches; if an obstruction is detected, the drawer motor reverses to avoid injuries.

Recommended sealing temperature and time for all PP microplates is 175°C and 3 seconds. Adjustments may be necessary depending on the specific combination of film and microplates used.
