The Amplifier Research 2500A225B is an advanced solid-state, self-contained broadband amplifier engineered for applications demanding rapid bandwidth, elevated gain, and high linearity. This model boasts air-cooling through an internally integrated liquid cooling system, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability. Its contemporary design facilitates easy transportation, making it ideal for field applications.
When paired with a sweep generator, the AR 2500A225B delivers a robust minimum output of 2500 watts of RF power. It features a convenient front panel gain control, allowing operators to adjust the output level with ease.
To safeguard against RF input overdrive, the amplifier incorporates an RF input leveling circuit, which manages the RF input to the first stage of amplification whenever the RF input exceeds 0dBm. The unit is further enhanced with a Digital Control Panel (DCP) that enables both local and remote operation. The DCP is equipped with a color LCD touch screen, which not only indicates operational status but also alerts users to fault conditions, such as overtemperature or power supply issues.
All control functions and status indicators can also be accessed remotely via an included Remotes Package, compatible with GPIB/IEEE-488 format, RS-232 hardwire, fiber optic, USB, and Ethernet connections.
