Anritsu MP1763C Pulse Pattern Generator

In today's data-driven world, the demand for transferring large volumes of information, particularly video, is soaring. The Anritsu MP1763C Pulse Pattern Generator is designed to meet this demand, supporting the evolution of high-speed transmission circuits and infrastructure. This innovative device accommodates the latest standards, including STM-64/OC-192 (9.95328 Gbit/s) and extends into higher realms such as 10.709225 Gbit/s (OTU-2) and beyond. It is ideal for evaluating devices and circuits across a wide spectrum of data rates.

Key Features

    • Internal Clock (Option 01): Adjustable in units of 1 kHz across a broad frequency range from 50 MHz to 12.5 GHz.
  • Programmable Patterns:
      • 8-Mbit programmable pattern capable of accommodating six STM-64 frames.
      • 4-Mbit alternating pattern and zero substitution patterns available.
      • Customizable PRBS patterns from 27-1 to 231-1 with adjustable mark ratio.
    • Synchronous Output: Offers a selectable 1/64 clock or pattern SYNC, with variable trigger position for pattern synchronization.
    • DATA Output: Provides both DATA and DATA complementary output with back termination for optimal signal integrity.
    • CLOCK Output: Includes CLOCK 1/CLOCK 1 and CLOCK 2 output systems with back termination options.
    • Parallel Output: Useful for testing an 8:1 MUX. Standard output is 1/8 parallel, and options include 1/4 speed or 1/4 differential output capable of serving as a data generator for MUX devices, WDM transmission equipment, high-speed buses, and backplanes.

The Anritsu MP1763C, combined with the MP1764C/1764D Error Detector, comprises a comprehensive Bit Error Rate Test Set (BERTS) tailored for evaluating high-speed transmission equipment and optical modules. It is suitable for R&D, manufacturing, and production environments, delivering robust performance from 50 Mbit/s to 12.5 Gbit/s.
