Equipped with advanced safety features, the 7715 ensures safe and efficient testing. One of its standout innovations is the patented SmartGFI safety circuit. This high-speed shutdown circuit offers unparalleled operator protection against excessive leakage to ground by instantly shutting down high voltage in less than 1 millisecond upon detection. Additionally, the SmartGFI is automatically activated if the device under test (DUT) is not grounded, significantly enhancing user safety during operation.
The 7715 is also capable of detecting short-duration current spikes, typically occurring in the microsecond range, which can have peak amplitudes in the milliamp range. These high-frequency spikes are critical indicators of potential insulation failure, allowing for proactive measures before catastrophic breakdown occurs.
