RENT BOONTON 7200 Capacitance Meter (Call for Availability)
The Boonton 7200 is a cutting-edge capacitance meter designed to excel in both research and development and manufacturing settings. Equipped with dual phase-sensitive detectors, this sophisticated instrument accurately extracts and displays the parallel capacitance and conductance of the device being tested. From these measurements, it calculates and presents critical parameters including equivalent parallel and series resistance, series capacitance, dissipation factor, and quality factor (Q). Additionally, capacitance values can be displayed as deviations from a selectable reference standard in either percentage or pF units. The Boonton 7200 employs an advanced software filter technique, averaging consecutive measurements to ensure a stable and reliable display value.
With programmable test levels ranging from 15 to 100 mV, the Boonton 7200 is versatile enough for a broad spectrum of semiconductor measurements. This instrument allows for up to 99 complete front panel setups to be stored in its internal non-volatile memory, enabling quick recall for various testing scenarios. To cater to specific operational requirements, a variety of special functions are integrated into the device. Users can hold a particular measurement or bias range and select the averaging filter length from no averaging up to 500 measurements. Furthermore, the device allows for calibration via the front panel or through the IEEE-488 interface, particularly in conjunction with external standards.
