The Chroma 61809 regenerative grid simulator is engineered for advanced testing solutions, featuring an impressive power rating of 9kVA. This versatile device supports both single-phase and three-phase operation, allowing for maximum adaptability in various testing environments. With output voltage ranges extending up to 350VLN and 606VLL, the simulator can achieve an impressive 700VLN with a single-phase 3-wire configuration. The Chroma 61809 ensures high performance with a total harmonic distortion rate of less than 0.5% at full load and offers flexibility in output frequency at 50Hz/60Hz.

Incorporating both AC and DC capabilities, the Chroma 61809 provides a DC output mode, as well as an AC plus DC output mode, which can be further expanded to accommodate DC testing paired with AC testing featuring DC bias voltage. This makes it ideal for a variety of applications, including DUT input inrush current testing with its current output capability, which is capable of delivering up to three times the RMS peak current.

Designed with efficiency in mind, the Chroma 61809 represents a regenerative solution that promotes energy-saving by recycling power generated during testing back to the grid, rather than dissipating it as heat. This not only aids in reducing operating costs but also contributes to environmental protection. The simulator is specifically engineered for regulatory testing, supporting standards like IEC 61000-3-2/-3-3/-3-11/-3-12, IEEE 1547/IEC 62116. It is also suited for testing applications involving electric vehicles, such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G), vehicle-to-load (V2L), and vehicle-to-home (V2H) systems, in addition to energy storage system (ESS) testing.

The Chroma 61809 offers comprehensive remote control options, featuring standard USB and LAN interfaces, along with optional GPIB and CAN interfaces. For streamlined operation, the instrument can be easily controlled via computer and Chroma Softpanel software, enabling rapid digital interactions.
