Chroma's 63803 AC & DC Electronic Loads are exceptional tools designed specifically for testing Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Off-Grid Inverters, AC sources, and a variety of other power devices, including switches, circuit breakers, fuses, and connectors. The innovative design leverages advanced DSP technology to accurately simulate non-linear rectified loads through a unique RLC operation mode, enhancing system stability by detecting the impedance of the Unit Under Test (UUT) and dynamically adjusting the load's control bandwidth.
With built-in 16-bit precision measurement circuits, the Chroma 63803 provides accurate readings of steady-state and transient responses for essential parameters such as true RMS voltage, true RMS current, true power (P), apparent power (S), reactive power (Q), crest factor, power factor, Total Harmonic Distortion Voltage (THDv), and peak repetitive current. This electronic load features two distinct operating modes for AC load simulation and DC load simulation, which includes four different load modes. Additionally, the special DC Rectified mode mimics the loading behavior typical of distributed inverters, making the Chroma 63803 particularly suitable for testing Fuel Cells, PV modules/arrays, and Batteries.
