The Chroma 6530 AC Power Source is an essential instrument designed to simulate a variety of power line disturbance conditions, making it ideal for use in R&D design, production testing, and QA verification across commercial, industrial, and aerospace electronic products. This advanced device features a built-in 16-bit precision measurement circuit, facilitating high-speed, accurate measurements for critical parameters, including Vrms, Irms, Ipk+, Ipk-, power, frequency, crest factor, power factor, inrush current, VA, and VAR.

With up to 30 factory-installed harmonic waveforms, the Chroma 6530 simplifies compliance testing for AC line harmonic immunity standards right in the field. This AC power source is capable of generating exceptionally clean sine or square waveforms, with typical distortion levels less than 0.5%.

Furthermore, the output voltage amplitude, frequency, phase angle, and waveform shape can be meticulously adjusted in response to input triggers from either internal or external events. Designed with user-friendliness in mind, the Chroma 6530 is operated easily via the front panel keypad or with a remote controller. Additionally, a printer interface is available for documentation purposes, enabling users to print out instrument conditions or measurement readings. In Automated Test Equipment (ATE) applications, control is seamlessly integrated through IEEE 488, RS-232C, or Analog Programming Interface.
