At the heart of the ELR9500-30 is an FPGA-based control circuit that not only offers robust performance but also expands functionality through an integrated function generator and a table-based regulation circuit. This allows for the precise simulation of non-linear internal resistances, making it an ideal choice for testing batteries and other dynamic loads.
One of the standout features of the ELR9500-30 is its energy recovery function, which effectively converts supplied DC energy into synchronous sine current and returns it to the local grid. This innovative feature results in minimal heat dissipation, significantly reducing energy costs while improving system efficiency.
The device is equipped with a large, colorful TFT touch panel that ensures an intuitive user experience, setting it apart from competing electronic loads. Designed to handle varying power supply configurations, the US models operate on a 208 V (L-L) two- or three-phase supply, while the EU models accommodate one to three phases with a supply voltage of 230 V (L-N).
Additional functionality is provided through the FPGA-based digital function and arbitrary generator, which allows users to create and execute customizable load profiles. Capable of generating sine, square, sawtooth, and ramp functions in any sequence, this generator supports a comprehensive testing regime. The embedded digital value table, which includes 3276 programmable points, enables accurate reproduction of the non-linear characteristics of various loads, such as batteries or LED chains. For optimal battery testing, the ELR9500-30 features a dedicated battery test mode for constant current or constant resistance discharging.
