The emtest NX5 is a compact, multifunctional test generator designed to meet international transient and power fail testing requirements, making it a preferred choice for diverse applications from industrial to medical settings. With a robust capacity to handle Electrical Fast Transients (EFT) up to 5.5 kV and surge testing up to 5 kV, this versatile unit is equipped for comprehensive compliance testing.
Featuring an intuitive 7" touchscreen panel, users can effortlessly navigate through customized testing sequences. The clearly defined keys, illuminated with LED indicators for functions like start, stop, and break, streamline the testing process, enabling quick execution of pre-programmed standard tests. Users can monitor all test parameters directly on-screen and also operate the unit remotely via its integrated Ethernet, USB, or optical interfaces.
The standalone emtest NX5 comes fully equipped for conducting compliant tests, boasting CE Marking for single-phase Equipment Under Test (EUT) with an output supply of 300V/16A. An external coupling/decoupling network enables testing of three-phase EUTs, offering exceptional flexibility.
Safety is paramount with the NX5, as it conforms to IEC/EN 61010 standards and integrates real-time power monitoring for the EUT. The secure Ethernet or galvanic insulated OptoLink connection enhances reliability and safety during testing. Users can leverage an integrated standards library for test selection, or tailor their own tests—documents, photos, and data can be imported and exported seamlessly. A quick start option allows for on-the-fly parameter adjustments without interrupting the test sequence.
The NX5 is equipped with fail inputs that enable responsive control of ongoing test sequences based on the EUT's state. Additionally, monitoring outputs (BNC) provide straightforward signal verification and measurements.
This innovative compact generator uniquely recognizes connected EUT power configurations, automatically selecting couplings to real existing lines while disabling non-existent lines within the menu settings. The device is driven by an ARM-Cortex A9 quad-core processor, ensuring optimal performance and power management. Included with the unit is the iec.control software, compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 for effective control and documentation.
