The E&I 550L RF Amplifier is an advanced air-cooled solution designed for a variety of applications, including RF transmission, RFI/EMI susceptibility testing, laser modulation, power meter calibration, NMR spectroscopy, and general laboratory work. This amplifier stands out for its exceptionally wide frequency range, exceptional Class A linearity, and robust solid-state reliability, ensuring consistent performance across diverse experimental setups.
Engineered for optimal output, the E&I 550L operates within a specified frequency range of 1.5 to 400MHz, though its capabilities extend from 1 to 420MHz with a slight reduction in output power and linearity. Delivering a reliable 50 Watts of Class A linear power, it can achieve up to 100 Watts maximum continuous wave (CW) and pulse power from 1.5 to 220MHz. The amplifier comes with an impressive gain of 50 dB (±1.5 dB), making it easily driven to full output by virtually all commercially available signal and sweep generators. This high-performance amplifier is suitable for a multitude of communications, industrial, and laboratory applications, delivering a rugged and dependable source of linear RF power.
