The Isotech PEGASUS R 970 Blackbody Calibrator is a state-of-the-art compact furnace designed specifically for the precise calibration of radiation pyrometers. With its user-friendly controller, the desired temperature can be accurately set, while an independent indicator, equipped with a sensor that fits directly into the cavity, displays the actual radiance temperature. This innovative approach provides flexibility, as the sensor can be easily removed for external calibration or the entire system can be calibrated as needed.

The Blackbody Target Radiation Source allows for the calibration of radiation thermometers within a wavelength range of 9 to 14 micrometers, with an aperture size of 0.4" (10mm) in diameter. A scan across the aperture at 444°C demonstrates remarkable uniformity, better than 0.3°C.
Weighing only 15 pounds, the Isotech PEGASUS R 970 is conveniently portable, making it ideal for on-site calibration applications. The unit can also be equipped with either RS232 or RS422 communication interfaces, facilitating integration into various systems.
