Up to 80 channels of 2-pole switching. Each slot of the 7001 can house up to 40 channels, permitting significant reductions in required switch cards. This enhanced density not only reduces the amount of hardware needed but also provides additional capacity and flexibility for your testing environment.
Analog backplane. The innovative analog backplane supports high-density switch cards, removing intercard wiring for enhanced configuration flexibility. By connecting two cards through the backplane, users can create a 1×80 multiplexer, a 4×20 matrix, or a combination of multiplexer and matrix to facilitate matrix row expansion.
Channel status display. The vacuum fluorescent display of the Keithley 7001 enables simultaneous viewing of the open/close status for each channel. This graphical representation simplifies test system configuration, modifications, and debugging by providing a clear status view of the cards housed in both slots on a singular interface.
Easy to set up and use. Designed for user-friendliness, the Keithley 7001 integrates built-in features that streamline setup, execution, and modifications. Fully compliant with IEEE-488.2 and SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments), the instrument allows for comprehensive programming directly from the front panel or across the IEEE bus.
Trigger Link. The high-speed Trigger Link bus offers effortless trigger coordination between the Model 7001 and other instruments. This ensures minimal GPIB communication delays during scanning, significantly boosting overall system throughput.
More than 30 cards available. The wide array of switch cards compatible with the Keithley 7001 supports various signal types, maintaining high accuracy without compromising signal quality. The cards are engineered to minimize signal errors due to factors such as offset voltage, isolation resistance, and leakage current. Optimally configured, the 7001 facilitates multi-pole switching, allowing flexibility with cards like the 7011 in either 2- or 4-pole setups. For more extensive pole requirements, the innovative CARD PAIR function enables synchronized channel closures across both slots for up to 8-pole switching.
