The Keysight / Agilent N1077A Optical Electrical Clock Recovery device delivers cutting-edge electrical clock recovery solutions, operating efficiently at data rates of up to 64 GBd. Integrating an electrical clock recovery system with a high-performance amplified optical-to-electrical (O/E) converter, this model adeptly serves both electrical and optical applications. The N1077A ensures versatility, supporting multimode and single-mode operations, and is available with integrated 70-30 multimode and 50-50 single-mode splitters (option SMS), or without splitter options (option SXT), able to operate seamlessly up to 32.8 GBd.
This innovative clock recovery unit features adjustable loop bandwidth and selectable peaking, along with exceptional high sensitivity and low intrinsic jitter performance, guaranteeing accurate measurement capabilities. With the optional jitter spectrum analysis (JSA) feature, users can gain insightful data regarding the magnitude and distribution of low-frequency jitter, a vital tool in diagnosing root causes of excessive jitter.
Utilizing advanced phase-locked loop (PLL) circuitry, the Keysight / Agilent N1077A effectively locks onto incoming data or clock signals, outputting a recovered clock that serves as a reliable timing reference for oscilloscopes and bit error rate testers (BERTs). Moreover, it performs compliant PLL bandwidth and peaking measurements when paired with N1010300A FlexPLL Application software and N1081PLCA PCI Express PLL Test Application.
