Keysight / Agilent N4691A MW Electronic Calibration (ECal) Module

The Agilent N4691A MW Electronic Calibration (ECal) Module transforms the calibration of vector network analyzers (VNAs) into a seamless, efficient process. Designed for speed, accuracy, and usability, this innovative ECal module simplifies the calibration procedure while maintaining the highest level of precision.

Featuring a dual-method control system, the N4691A provides versatility for varying network analyzer setups. When used with the Agilent PNA or ENA series, the module integrates directly through the USB interface, enabling straightforward management. For compatibility with Agilent 8753E/ES/ET or 8720D/ES/ET models, the N4691A can also be operated via the 85097B interface kit, relying on a special parallel cable and firmware version 7.74.

The ECal module is exceptionally suited for conducting a full two-port calibration, achieving optimal results in less than half the required time and connections compared to traditional mechanical calibration kits. This remarkable efficiency not only accelerates workflow but also diminishes the potential for human error, a common risk associated with intensive operator interaction inherent in mechanical methods. With the Agilent N4691A, users merely connect the ECal module; the accompanying software takes care of the calibration process, ensuring consistent and reliable outcomes.

Key Features of the Agilent N4691A ECal Module:

    • Direct USB interface control with PNA and ENA series network analyzers
    • Alternative control via 85097B interface for widespread analyzer compatibility
    • Accelerated calibration procedures
    • Full two-port calibration achievable with a single connection
    • Reduced wear on connectors, enhancing durability
    • NIST traceable calibration accuracy for confidence in measurements
    • Robust solid-state switching for reliable operation
    • Simple and non-insertable device calibration, streamlining setup
