The Keysight U9391C Comb Generator is engineered for precision phase calibration in non-linear measurements, utilizing the PNA-X non-linear vector network analyzer (NVNA) and adhering to the standards set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This versatile comb generator is integral for calibrating PNA and PNA-X network analyzers, specifically for phase and delay measurements of frequency converters, eliminating the need for reference or calibration mixers.
Equipped with a built-in frequency divider selectable via the PNA-X, the U9391C effectively reduces noise. Users can easily set the drive frequency to 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 times the pulse repetition frequency (PRF). This adaptability, combined with an extensive input signal frequency range, provides diverse harmonic spacing options, making it a powerful tool for characterizing non-linear devices. Additionally, the comb generator features a trigger output, which allows for synchronization with the pulse's repetition frequency.
