RENT NH RESEARCH 9430-12 Regenerative AC Load, 4-Quadrant (Call for Availability)
Discover the NH Research 9430-12 4-Quadrant Regenerative AC Load, an advanced solution designed to meet the demanding needs of electrical testing applications. With selectable phase inputs and outputs, as well as a built-in waveform digitizing measurement system, the 9430-12 excels in simulating a wide variety of linear and non-linear loads. It is ideally suited for testing Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), AC sources, inverters, rectifiers, switches, circuit breakers, and fuses. Notably, in sink mode, it returns power to the facility mains, significantly improving energy efficiency.
4-QUADRANT OPERATION:
The NH Research 9430-12 sets itself apart with its unique ability to function in all four quadrants of operation. This bi-directional capability allows for comprehensive load simulation over conventional two-quadrant AC loads. It effectively replicates reverse currents caused by inductive or capacitive loads, facilitating accurate duplication of real-world reactive power flows during parts of the AC cycle.
HIVAR® Design Feature:
The innovative HIVAR® design enables testing of high reactive load input power without the typical reductions in true power associated with conventional loads. This remarkable feature allows the NH Research 9430-12 to handle reactive power values up to 2.6 times the true power. With a robust specification, a 12kW load is rated up to 31.5kVA, catering both to true power and apparent power needs.
EMULATION MODES:
Expand your testing scope with the NH Research 9430-12's multiple Emulation Modes. The Constant Current (CC) Mode ensures a consistent current draw, suitable for a diverse array of linear, non-linear, and regulatory loading scenarios. Employ Constant Resistance (CR) Mode to emulate a power resistor at unity power factor, while Constant Power (CP) Mode replicates a load similar to a switching power supply. The Constant Apparent Power (CS) Mode offers a vector representation of both real and reactive power, and the Constant RL (CRL) Mode effectively simulates a resistive load with an inductive component, such as that found in motors.
REGENERATIVE RETURN OF LOAD POWER TO FACILITY LINE:
The NH Research 9430-12 is engineered for efficiency, returning over 90% of power back to the facility. This regenerative return not only results in substantial electrical savings but can also lead to cost recovery of the unit within 2-3 years, even with intermittent use. Benefits include enhanced comfort in the work environment, a reduced need for air conditioning, and the alleviation of facility power upgrades.
