The GVS MCE Filtration Membrane is composed of a blend of inert cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate polymers. Its biologically inert composition ensures its suitability for a wide range of clarification, sterilization, and analytical applications. Ideal for microbiological analysis and sterilization of aqueous solutions, it provides minimal residue of less than 0.045% of its initial weight when utilized for gravimetric analysis. With a noncytotoxic wetting agent, the membrane has extractable levels of less than 4% of its weight and can be autoclavable at 121°C for 20 minutes. The effective sterilized product lifetime is 24 months from the date of sterilization.
