RENT Olympus MAGNAMIKE-8600 Magnetic Thickness Gauge (Call for Availability)
The Olympus MAGNAMIKE-8600 Magnetic Thickness Gauge is a cutting-edge, portable, non-destructive testing device that provides precise measurements for non-ferrous materials. This innovative gauge operates by utilizing a magnetic probe held against one side of the test material, while a small target ball, disk, or wire is positioned on the opposite side or within a container. The embedded Hall Effect sensor accurately measures the distance between the probe tip and the target, with results displayed instantly on a vibrant color display for effortless interpretation.
Versatility is essential, and the MAGNAMIKE-8600 offers options such as straight, right angle, and low-profile articulating magnetic probes. The 86PR-1 and 86-PR2 models feature replaceable wear caps, enhancing durability and helping to minimize long-term costs associated with probe replacement. This gauge also incorporates an extensive file-based alphanumeric data logger, allowing users to seamlessly store and later transfer thickness readings.
Equipped with both RS-232 and USB outputs, the Olympus MAGNAMIKE-8600 can efficiently transmit data directly to an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis. The included WINXL interface program simplifies the process, enabling users to send individual or bulk thickness readings quickly and effectively.
