RENT PICOTEST J2112A High Current Injector (Call for Availability)
The J2112A Current Injector is an exceptionally versatile tool in the Picotest Signal Injector line-up, delivering advanced functionality tailored for precise electrical testing and measurement.
When paired with the G5100A Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) or similar function generators, the J2112A can execute small and large-signal load steps with frequencies reaching up to 40MHz and rise/fall times as rapid as 20ns, accommodating currents of up to 1 ampere. This capability allows for the creation of dynamic load current profiles, emulating various load conditions such as high-speed digital circuit loading, battery discharge profiles, and transient current spikes.
In conjunction with a network analyzer, the Current Injector effectively measures the output impedance of diverse circuits and systems, inclusive of power supplies, voltage regulators, power buses, and batteries. Notably, the injector facilitates non-invasive measurements, enabling users to assess the stability of input filters, negative resistance in switching power supplies, and the phase margin of both linear and switching regulators without interrupting the control loop.
The J2112A also plays a crucial role in the measurement and extraction of critical transistor data, encompassing current gain, Ft, and a variety of other dynamic performance parameters. In RF and instrumentation applications, it serves to deliver constant current biasing for class A amplifiers and buffers, ensuring optimal performance across the board.
