The PTFE Laminated Membrane Sheet combines high-performance polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with a polypropylene support to deliver an exceptionally durable and easy-to-handle filtering solution. With its robust construction, this membrane excels in environments where chemical aggression and high temperatures are a concern.

What sets this membrane apart is its unique 3D web-like structure created by expanding fine powder resin into billions of microscopic pores. This innovation harnesses the natural hydrophobic and non-stick properties of PTFE, effectively capturing and retaining particulate matter on the membrane's surface while allowing air to flow freely. The PTFE Laminated Membrane is engineered to filter particles as small as 0.1 microns, providing device manufacturers a reliable, temperature- and chemically-compatible barrier against microbes and particulate contamination.

The inherently hydrophobic nature of this membrane ensures that it does not absorb moisture, making it an excellent choice for:

    • Venting Applications: Effective air flow without moisture absorption.
    • Phase Separations: Optimal for separating liquids and gases.
    • Aerosol Sampling: Reliable collection and analysis of airborne particles.

Furthermore, the laminated PTFE filters can filter aqueous solutions when pre-wetted with methanol and are autoclavable at temperatures of up to 130°C, making them versatile for various laboratory and industrial applications.

Characteristics:

    • Pore Sizes: Available in 0.22 µm and 0.45 µm options.
    • Materials: Naturally hydrophobic composition enhances filtering efficiency.
    • Compatibility: Highly compatible with strong acids and aggressive solvents, including alcohols.
    • Other Qualities: Enhanced durability and ease of handling.

Applications:

    • Filtration of strong acids and challenging solutions.
    • Venting applications where moisture resistance is critical.
    • Facilitating phase separations in diverse processes.
    • Aerosol sampling to ensure accurate retrieval of airborne particulates.
