The TDK-Lambda GEN20-500 Power Supply redefines flexibility and reliability for OEM, Industrial, and Laboratory applications. Delivering a robust 10KW of power with a voltage output of 20V and current capacity of 500A, this power supply is engineered for excellence.
Designed with high power density and low ripple performance, the GEN20-500 caters to your power needs with user-friendly interfaces. It supports popular single-phase inputs at 230VAC and three-phase inputs at 208VAC or 400VAC, operating steadily at 50/60Hz. The Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) of 0.99 for single-phase and 0.92-0.94 for three-phase ensures optimal operation, even in challenging AC environments, while meeting rigorous European EMC standards.
At the forefront of user experience, the GEN20-500 features a sophisticated front panel with precise encoder adjustments for both fine and coarse control (~6 or 30 turns) accompanied by four-digit LED displays for voltage and current. It offers adjustable Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Lockout (UVL), and Current Foldback options for enhanced configurability, with set values visible even when the output is off. The current foldback can also be configured to latch the output off for added safety.
For expanded capabilities, the GEN20-500 supports parallel operation with up to four like units, allowing them to be connected and configured to function as a unified power supply system ranging from 3kW to 60kW, providing remarkable design flexibility for system engineers.
Advanced safety features further enhance reliability, including Safe Re-Start and Last Setting Memory. Users can choose whether the power supply resumes prior settings or returns to a safe output of zero post power-off. The Last Setting Memory is designed to retain critical settings like output voltage, current, mode (remote or local), OVP, UVL, Foldback, Baud Rate, and Start-Up Mode without the need for battery backup. The front panel allows for output control and local/remote digital selection, with an option to lock controls for security.
Equipped with a standard embedded 16-bit RS-232/RS-485 digital interface, the Genesys™ product line supports daisy-chaining of up to 31 power supplies over RS-485. Remote programming is user-selectable via DIP switches for 0-5V or 0-10V configurations. Utilizing modular design principles and surface-mount technology (SMT), the GEN20-500 promises exceptional reliability and performance.
