TDK-Lambda Genesys™ GEN40-85 Programmable AC/DC Power Supply

The TDK-Lambda GEN40-85 Power Supply redefines flexibility and reliability, making it an ideal choice for OEM, industrial, and laboratory applications. This robust power supply offers a remarkable 3.3KW output at 45V and 85A, ensuring efficient operation in demanding environments.

Experience high power density and low ripple characteristics with the GEN40-85, equipped with an array of user-friendly interfaces. The power supply supports versatile input options, including 230VAC single-phase and 208VAC or 400VAC three-phase inputs at 50/60Hz. With Active Power Factor Correction ranging from 0.99 for single-phase to 0.92-0.94 for three-phase, the GEN40-85 is designed to perform seamlessly even in challenging AC conditions while adhering to European EMC requirements.

The intuitive front panel enhances user control, featuring encoders for both fine and coarse adjustments (~6 or 30 turns), alongside four-digit LED meters for voltage and current. Users can adjust the Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Lockout (UVL), and Current Foldback settings, with preview capabilities for set values, even when the output is off. The foldback function can be configured to latch the output off for added safety.

For increased flexibility, the GEN40-85 allows up to four identical units to be paralleled, seamlessly configured for a Master unit to program and monitor the total current. This capability enables users to combine four units into a cohesive power supply unit ranging from 3kW to 60kW, simplifying system design and operation.

Safety and reliability are paramount with features such as Safe Re-Start, allowing users to choose the restart settings post-power off, and Last Setting Memory that retains output voltage, current, remote/local mode, OVP, UVL, and other settings without requiring a battery. The front panel can be secured either locally or via software command, ensuring operational integrity.

Equipped with a standard embedded 16-bit RS-232/RS-485 digital interface, users can control up to 31 power supplies in a daisy chain configuration via the RS-485 line. The remote programming is user-selectable at 0-5V or 0-10V through DIP switches located on the rear panel. The modular design and SMT technology guarantee high reliability and performance.
