Tektronix 80A05 Electrical Clock Recovery Module
The Tektronix 80A05 Electrical Clock Recovery Module is engineered to facilitate precise clock recovery for both electrical signals and optical signals paired with an electrical data pick-off, such as the 80C12B optical sampling module. This high-performance device boasts internal routing capabilities for the recovered clock, making it an essential tool for triggering the DSA8300 Series oscilloscopes.
Designed to recover clocks from serial data streams, the 80A05 offers continuous coverage across a wide range of common electrical standards, from 50 Mb/s to 3.188 Gb/s, in addition to a fixed rate of 4.25 Gb/s. Furthermore, when equipped with Option 10G, this module provides user-selectable rates within the ranges of 3.267 to 4.250 Gb/s, 4.900 to 6.375 Gb/s, and 9.800 to 12.60 Gb/s.
Superior Integration and Sensitivity
The Tektronix 80A05 stands out with its high level of integration and unmatched sensitivity, making it the ideal solution for testing optical transmitter components as well as electrical components within optical systems. The module features automatic PLL loop bandwidth selection, ensuring a seamless setup and operation without any manual adjustments required.
Versatile Signal Compatibility
Accepting both single-ended and differential signals, the 80A05 provides an attenuated yet unmodified input signal available on output connectors located on the front panel. The signal path to these outputs is meticulously designed to maintain signal fidelity well beyond the frequency limits associated with the maximum bit rate managed by the clock recovery circuit. This allows for easy connectivity to high-frequency sampling modules, such as the 80E07, for in-depth signal analysis while preserving critical high-frequency features.
