Its advanced design ensures that all analysis is fully preselected and free from image interference.

The RSA6000 Series features broadband preselection filters that remain in the signal path at all times, allowing for an uncompromised balance between dynamic range and analysis bandwidth. You can leverage a comprehensive set of standard power and signal statistics measurements, including Channel Power, Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR), Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF), Occupied Bandwidth, and Spurious measurements.

For deeper insights, optional Phase Noise and General Purpose Modulation Analysis measurements expand the analytical capabilities, making the RSA6120A not just another signal analyzer but a must-have tool for today’s complex, transient signals. The innovative DPX® (Display of Phaseless eXistence) spectrum display provides a real-time visualization of signal transients, enabling users to see the frequency domain's changes as they happen—something not possible with traditional spectrum analyzers.

This unique live analysis empowers engineers to identify design flaws more efficiently, as the DPX® technology offers an extraordinary level of insight into signal behavior. After detecting an issue, the RSA6120A can trigger events, capture continuous time records of changing RF events, and execute time-correlated analysis across all domains, merging the functionalities of high-performance spectrum analyzers and wideband vector signal analyzers.

The patented DPX® spectrum processing engine sets a new benchmark by performing up to 292,968 frequency transforms per second, accurately displaying transients with durations as short as 3.7 microseconds in the frequency domain. Its advanced color-coding system highlights event occurrences, providing a vivid illustration of transient signal behavior.

The DPX spectrum processor can sweep across the full frequency range, enabling broadband transient capture previously unattainable in ordinary spectrum analyzers. For applications where primarily spectral information is required, the optional Opt. 200 feature allows for gap-free spectral recording, replay, and analysis, accommodating up to 60,000 spectral traces with a variable recording resolution ranging from 110 microseconds to 6400 seconds per line.
