RENT AEMC 6240 Micro-Ohmmeter (Call for Availability)
The AEMC 6240 Micro-Ohmmeter is a precision instrument specifically engineered for both plant maintenance and field testing. As a robust, low resistance tester, it is tailored to accurately measure very low resistance with an impressive accuracy of 0.25%. Utilizing the advanced four-lead Kelvin method of testing, this micro-ohmmeter ensures reliable results across a wide measuring range from 1 μΩ to 400 Ω, with resolutions reaching down to 1 μΩ.
Featuring selectable test currents of 10A, 1A, 100mA, and 10mA, the Model 6240 is versatile enough to handle various applications, while its polarity reversal function enhances testing options. This device is adept for testing both resistive and inductive materials, making it an essential tool for electrical maintenance professionals.
Designed for ease of use, the front end incorporates a four-wire Kelvin configuration, eliminating the interference of test lead resistance to guarantee measurement precision. The built-in circuit adeptly filters out AC signals, allowing for accurate assessments in diverse environments. For operational convenience, up to 99 measurements can be stored and efficiently printed, either directly to a compatible printer or via a PC interface.
The Model 6240 is encased in a durable, sealed field case, making it ideal for both workshop and field applications. It is powered by a long-life NiMH battery pack featuring a built-in recharger (compatible with 110/220V), ensuring extended use without frequent recharging interruptions. The instrument boasts a large, easy-to-read liquid crystal display measuring 2.25 x 4.00", showcasing resistance values, current, voltage tests, polarity, and battery charge for clear visibility during testing.
For enhanced safety and instrument longevity, the micro-ohmmeter is equipped with input fuse protection, which includes a front-panel accessible fuse designed to shield against hazards stemming from stored energy in inductive loads.
