The GVS Mixed Cellulose Esters (MCE) Filtration Membrane is an unsupported, hydrophilic membrane designed for superior performance in diagnostic kit manufacturing applications. This membrane boasts a rapid flow rate and high throughput, making it an exceptional choice for various filtration needs.

Composed of a blend of inert cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate polymers, the GVS MCE Filtration Membrane features a uniform microporous structure, ensuring the fastest flow rates and the highest throughput available in membrane filtration technology. Being biologically inert, these membranes are well-suited for numerous applications, including:

    • Clarification and sterilization of aqueous solutions
    • Microbiological analysis
    • Industrial hygiene applications
    • Silt density index measurement
    • Particulate-matter analysis
    • Gravimetric analysis using ashing techniques, yielding a residue of less than 0.045% of their initial weight.

These membranes are designed to be hydrophilic, utilizing a noncytotoxic wetting agent and achieving extractable levels of less than 4% of their weight. Furthermore, they are autoclavable at 121°C for 20 minutes, ensuring effective sterilization. The lifespan of sterilized products is 24 months from the date of sterilization.

Key Features:

    • High flow rate: Experience fast filtration rates to enhance efficiency.
    • Uniform pore structure: Guarantees consistent flow and diffusion rates.
    • Lot-to-lot consistency: Ensures reliable performance across batches.
    • Thickness: Ranges between 0.1 to 0.19 mm, providing flexibility for diverse applications.

Applications:

    • Aqueous filtration
    • Black membrane suitable for food and beverage applications
    • Gravimetric analysis using ashing techniques
    • Microbiological and particulate analysis
    • Sterility testing
