The Keithley 8009 is an advanced guarded test fixture specifically engineered for precise measurement of volume and surface resistivities. This robust apparatus delivers exceptional electrostatic shielding and boasts an impressive insulation resistance capability of up to 1100V, ensuring secure and reliable testing conditions.
Designed for seamless integration with the Keithley 6517A or 6517B, the 8009 features an automatic safety mechanism: simply open the lid, and the voltage source is turned off, prioritizing user safety during operations. With the capacity to handle sheet samples ranging from 64mm to 102mm (2½ to 4 inches) in diameter and a thickness of up to 3.2mm (1/8 inch), the 8009 guarantees optimal sample contact through consistent pressure application varying from 6 to 10 lbs, depending on the thickness of the sample.
Utilizing the convenient front panel switch, users can effortlessly toggle between volume and surface resistivity measurements. The 6517A or 6517B will automatically be configured to calculate and display the correct results, streamlining the testing process significantly.
Engineered for thorough compliance with ASTM procedures, the Keithley 8009 facilitates direct measurement of:
- Volume Resistivity: Up to 1018 Ω-cm (on samples 0.1cm thick)
- Surface Resistivity: Up to 1017 Ω/square
