Manufacturing Process

Initially, the polyester film undergoes exposure to ion particles, leading to the formation of “tracks” that damage the polymer. Subsequently, the film is treated with a chemical solution that etches these tracks, yielding precise cylindrical pores. The meticulous control of pore density is achieved by adjusting the number of tracks per unit area, while variations in temperature, strength, and duration of exposure to the etching solution dictate the pore size. This sophisticated process enables tailored customization to meet specific requirements, resulting in a translucent membrane with a smooth surface and accurate pore characteristics.
