Manufactured through a sophisticated two-step process akin to that of the PCTE membrane, our PETE Membrane is created by exposing a polyester film to ion particles. These ions penetrate the film, establishing tracks that inflict precise damage on the polymer. Subsequently, this beamed film undergoes treatment with a specialized chemical solution, effectively etching out these tracks and forming cylindrical pores of controlled size and density.
This innovative process affords enhanced control over pore specifications, ensuring that each membrane's physical properties align meticulously with your unique requirements. The resulting product features a translucent polyester film characterized by a smooth, flat surface with well-defined pores. This superior construction offers significantly better solvent resistance compared to polycarbonate membranes and effectively traps all particles larger than the specified pore diameter.
