This power system features an intuitive color TFT touchscreen interface, providing a user-friendly menu-driven experience for streamlined control over system settings. Users can effortlessly set and measure voltage, current, power, and internal resistance values directly via the touchscreen. With programmable voltage and current ramps, as well as the ability to store settings for repeatable tests, this system enhances operational flexibility. Additionally, built-in under voltage limit settings safeguard battery packs by preventing deep discharge, while event logs meticulously record system actions, warnings, and faults for detailed analysis.

The Sorensen i-BEAM IB-1-600-100-200 is a versatile platform catering to a wide spectrum of testing needs throughout the product lifecycle. Its capabilities include battery simulation, battery testing (charge/discharge), DC motor testing, electric powertrain testing, fuel cell load testing, solar panel testing, as well as validating high-power fuses, contactors, and circuit breakers. The single-channel configuration of the IB-1-600-100-200 allows power to flow in either direction, ensuring adaptability in various testing environments.

Further enhancing its functionality, the system incorporates a Power Distribution Unit (PDU) that establishes a remote connection between the i-BEAM and the Device Under Test (DUT) located within a test cell. The PDU is housed within a free-standing cabinet, featuring essential controls such as shutdown and reset buttons, a voltmeter for accurate voltage readings, a status light tower for visual monitoring, and an integrated door contact that instantly powers down the system if the cabinet door is opened.
